My Cake Story

     It all started in 2019...that's when my cake journey began.

My sister's baby shower was just a few weeks away and I was up against the challenge of, not only, making treats, but an entire two tier cake! Let me just say, I bit off way more than I could chew. Not having the slightest idea of how to even begin this cake, I did what any DIYer would do...I Youtubed it! No lie; I spent the next couple weeks doing nothing but research on how to execute this 'Paris' themed cake, the treats, and all the materials I would need to get started. Let's not mention the fact that I hardly ever had to bake cake before this. My friends were box brownie lovers so that was my specialty. None the less, I was determined to do this two tier cake with black and white stripes on the bottom, an Eiffel tower on the top and pink flower accents. It was a beautiful vision in my head! 

     Looking back, the end result was far from perfect but it made me discover this new found love for cake decorating that I never knew was there. Take a look at my Master Piece!

Starting anything new can be very nerve wrecking...but it also depends on how you look at it. I never planned to have a cake business, it just kind of happened. I wanted nothing more then to spend all my time trying new cake techniques and designs. It was truly my happy place to simply create! The cake creations that I was most proud of, and even some of the epic fails, I shared with my friends and family. After a while, they wanted me to make cakes for them too.
